South Africa is one of the most culturally rich and diverse nations on earth! With 11 official languages and diversity in culture, South Africa has truly become the rainbow nation. From the Zulu warrior to the desert bushmen, from the lion and elephant to the proud springbok antelope, this is all something that contributes to making a trip to South Africa a life changing experience. The general idea that comes to mind when one mentions AFRICA is poverty, violence, war, amongst other things, but South Africa is the leader on the African continent. This country has come a long way from its apartheid ridden history. God is moving in this nation like never before, especially amongst the young people. Schools all over our country are being transformed by the presence of God in the students. The Gospel can be freely preached in over 70% of our schools.
Your African Missions team will visit some of these schools and have an opportunity to fellowship and minister with like minded Christians from different cultures and walks of life.
Much time will be spent with people from different communities. You will also get to experience and minister in some township churches in the underprivileged communities,
as well as the more privileged churches in the city. The body of Christ in South Africa is busy with various processes and your team will be able to impart into this process in a valuable way.
In our journey as Christians we not only experience change, but have the power and opportunity to effect the change in others,
so I believe that after this trip the process in South Africa will have experienced a certain measure of growth and be assured that your team will be changed for eternity. This trip is designed so that the team can enjoy the people, sights (yes plenty of sightseeing), sounds, smells and tastes of South Africa while experiencing God and sharing Jesus to all those around.
The team will be based in Cape Town, one of the premiere tourist cities in the world. This city caters for millions of tourists throughout the year.
Cape town was voted one of the 5 most beautiful cities in the world. The Mayor has been voted as the best mayor in the world for 2008. It is one of the safest cities in South Africa.
As we are able to work all over the country, we can work and be based from any city in South Africa. We also host mission trips into various other African nations. We design each mission trip according to the group, being it young people with a sense of adventure and plenty of energy, or people who enjoy life at a bit slower pace.
Our accomodation ranges from upmarket hotels, guest houses to farm homes and even backpackers and tents. There are so many ways to serve - building, painting, or just spending time with people, or bringing food to people, or playing games with some orphans.
